A.S.P.E.C.T Wrote:And if I extract Omnillium from a car and from all the base resources used in making a car? Would the amount of Omnillium for those be the same or would the working car give me more Omnillium? And if we know instinctively if we have enough Omnillium for something when trying to create it, wouldn't that give us some idea as to how much Omnillium we have, how much we still need and from that how much Omnillium is still required for the full amount?

edit: Is it possible to create a device, using Omnillium, that numerically tells you how much omnillium is in a Prime body? Like a blood pressure meter or something?

For that last question, No.

With extraction, from what I've seen of people actually doing it, You don't get any extra OM (in case that's what you were expecting). The OM you get from extracting something is however much OM you get from that post. There's not any extra OM hand outs for extracting things.

This is probably because object don't really have a defined Omnillium amount, and most things you would be extracting Omnilium would be things that you could just hand wave the price for.

Re: Quick Questions II - A.S.P.E.C.T - 02-09-2016

Can I use Omnillium for summoning while riding with someone else or while in a vehicle with the auto pilot on?

Re: Quick Questions II - Makoto Yuki - 02-09-2016

Absolutely.

Does the Dataverse have an equivalent of IP addresses and such for its information? And is it possible to put files on the public Dataverse sections that can only be opened by certain accounts (or IPs if it works like that)?

No

Back to one of my previous questions: When a Prime extracts Omnillium from something they can't tell how much exactly they have gained but they do know that they have gained Omnillium, correct?

Hai, the material/object/whatever you are extracting will very visibly transform into Omnillium and be absorbed into the Prime's being.

Say I change my character. Will Jupiter still be able to hang around as a Prime NPC, considering he's an OC?

Jupiter Wrote:Say I change my character. Will Jupiter still be able to hang around as a Prime NPC, considering he's an OC?

Yeah, but he'll count against your prime NPC limit, and unless you make him into an assist he can't help you in a fight. Other than those caveats you can keep him as an NPC.

Is there any rough indicator to when we should point out that a post is mature?
Specifically, I plan to make a post which would include a few curse words (nothing excessive though, stuff around the f-word ballpark). Is that bad enough to be rated M?

That's fine, My advice would just be to use your best judgement, if you think it has mature content, then just label it with a mature content sign. if that's what you want to do.

How do you add someone to your communications device? Is it possible to give someone a number or unique ID they can add to a Comms device at a later stage?

Re: Quick Questions II - Kakashi Hatake - 02-12-2016

A.S.P.E.C.T Wrote:How do you add someone to your communications device? Is it possible to give someone a number or unique ID they can add to a Comms device at a later stage?

So long as you can interact with the person you'd want to connect with in some way in-character, you're find to do that. If for instance you just wanted to start communicating with someone you've never met/communicated with over either the Dataverse or the Astral Realm, that'd be a no-go.

So if you're chatting over the Dataverse (which is I think what you're what doing), then as long as both parties have Dataverse devices, that'd be fine.

Is it possible to empty out your Omnillium reserve? I'm currently trying to do some experiments on Omnillium gain but without knowing how much I have at the moment I can't tell how much I've gained so is it possible to put aside what I have temporarily?

Re: Quick Questions II - Minato Namikaze - 02-13-2016

Our characters do not know, and will never know how much Omnillium they have. That information is for us (the writers), so we can keep track of our characters growth. Having our characters know exactly how much Omnillium they have could, and would, fall under Fourth Wall breaking.

Re: Quick Questions II - A.S.P.E.C.T - 02-13-2016

Alright. But even without knowing the exact numbers, characters know when they don't have enough Omnillium to summon something, right?
Quote:If they do not have sufficient Omnilium, a kind of jarring feedback occurs - they know instinctively how much is needed.
So is it possible to empty yourself out temporarily while you go absorb liters of water until you can summon a cubic meter of rock?

Summoning things (most things that is), does not cost OM. Most things can be hand waved in terms of price. However, things that would be used during battle or to give you an advantage during battle (Moves, etc.) do cost Omnillium. Bases also cost, so if you plan on summoning a base, expect it to cost you Omnillium.

In the future, this thread is for Quick Questions, and not multiple questions that follow on from one another. Please create your own thread for those sorts of questions.

On that note, if you want to Role Play your character as not being able to summon something, then going and extracting something and then being able to summon it, sure go ahead.

Can i give my secondaries dataverse devices so they can communicate amongst each other? I bought 3 dataverse devices.

Luger Wrote:Can i give my secondaries dataverse devices so they can communicate amongst each other? I bought 3 dataverse devices.

Gonna go out on a limb here, but I don't think you needed to buy 3. 1 Would have been enough because your npcs have access to your things. I'd ask for a refund for the other two if Staff confirms this to be accurate.

Re: Quick Questions II - Amaterasu - 02-15-2016

In regards to alt forms: are we allowed to have our character take on the appearance of a generic character from unrelated media?
