Re: Quick Questions II - The Humble Sage - 01-22-2016

Fluff question: are secondaries literally the people from their homew, or just verisons of them created in the Omniverse?

We have no idea. Are we the people from our home verse, or just an omnillium-infused parody of what we once were?

Although chances are Secondaries are just versions we conjure up, given Palpatine's royal guard.

Primes are duplicates of their home-verse version, as was explained IC by Omni in Kingdom Come.

Secondaries are copies created by primes, based on the knowledge, memories, w/e of the prime who summons them.

Re: Quick Questions II - Nimo Sever - 01-24-2016

So can NPC's (Specifically Secondaries) just NOT harm Primes? For example, what would happen if a secondary hit a Prime with a club? Sword (or other sharp, slashing weapons) or say, tried to set them on fire?

Secondaries can kill primes. Primes have unlimited potential, but Secondaries are still pretty damn good.

Re: Quick Questions II - Amaterasu - 01-25-2016

I want to write only a single post in Coruscant, before leaving the Verse again. As I have no interaction with other players, what would you recommend me to do - open a new thread with just one post or find someone else's thread that I can post into?

If it is a travel post or a post that leads into the following thread you can just put as a sort of "prologue" in your thread outside of Coruscant.

If you want it to be clearly inside Coruscant you can just make a new thread.

Re: Quick Questions II - The Rogue - 01-26-2016

Um can it be possible that Omni grabbed the character durring a fall? Amd they crash through the fountain and slide a bit of a ways? Of course the character is in a vehicle.

No.
<!-- l --><a class="postlink-local" href="http://omniverse-rpg.com/omnifaq.php#Q16">omnifaq.php#Q16</a><!-- l -->

Everyone gets the same introduction and arrival, in the same way.

Re: Quick Questions II - Tom Marvolo Riddle - 02-02-2016

Do summoned servants NPCs that don't serve much function other than to keep a base cleanly in order and such count towards a Prime's total NPC count? I'm not saying a village or anything but just a few house elves to get Hogwarts going.

Re: Quick Questions II - Proto Man - 02-02-2016

Bases do allow for some extra wiggle room in the number of secondaries, but you need to clarify 'a few.'

Re: Quick Questions II - Tom Marvolo Riddle - 02-02-2016

Proto Man Wrote:Bases do allow for some extra wiggle room in the number of secondaries, but you need to clarify 'a few.'

To start with maybe seven house elves. It works out to about two primarily for cooking, two to handle cleaning and one to deal with luggage running errands about the castle and maybe Darkshire. Two more will serve for as extra hands to actually called into service as need demands. But I'm not set on the numbers just as a shot in the dark. As they are House Elves and unless you are visiting the kitchens most people won't even see or know about them.

More will come once Tom institutes a breeding program and he gets Hogsmede/Diagon Alley/Knocturn Alley built up along with a train station or two.

Re: Quick Questions II - Chloe Price - 02-03-2016

It's not specified in the thing about it, and I have a bit of hope in me, so...Do I need an Assist to have Joker Goons for a fight that isn't graded, i.e. encounters with the local guard in Camelot? They won't help me in officially graded fights. They'd be more fluff than anything, and until I get Assist, they'd be fairly weak, anyway. Pretty much cannon fodder that even a civilian could take on and win, given they have the courage to do so.

Re: Quick Questions II - Kakashi Hatake - 02-03-2016

If they're random secondaries with no combat utility, that's fine so long as it's a story thing like you said. Just be sure to know that they'll be seriously inept in combat until they're an assist...like, borderline useless.

Re: Quick Questions II - David Stephenson - 02-05-2016

Just wondering, I've seen that Coruscant and Camelot have bounties. Were my character to kill some roaming undead in The Pale Moors, would Dracula place a bounty on my character or would nobody care?

David Stephenson Wrote:Just wondering, I've seen that Coruscant and Camelot have bounties. Were my character to kill some roaming undead in The Pale Moors, would Dracula place a bounty on my character or would nobody care?

Assuming it were just some roaming undead, no one would probably care. If said undead were actively in the service of Dracula and were actually important, then he might care enough to put a bounty out.

Re: Quick Questions II - A.S.P.E.C.T - 02-06-2016

I'm starting out in the Nexus and I wanted to create some sort of cloak as well as a vehicle of some description. In order to do both would I need to spend OM (and how much) from my character sheet for them or do I simply roleplay spending the time to summon it and the OM used is fodder for the story?

Mounts dont cost you om, just time to summon em. As for your cloak, I believe it is the same wqy, just rp fluff, like Murasames one hit kill.

If the vehicle has weapons you'd want to use in combat, you'd need to make it an Assist. If not, just 'hand-waving' the cost as a story element is fine. Likewise if the cloak is just clothing you're good to just make it, but if it provides invisibility or something you'd need to buy the applicable power to go with the ability..

Re: Quick Questions II - A.S.P.E.C.T - 02-08-2016

Just a few questions I had on the extraction subject. Apologies for the list.
How does omnillium extraction work IC? Does a prime simply will omnillium out of something and then he knows exactly how much he gained from it? Can I extract water or air? Or only solid objects? Does the value differ between water from Camelot or water from any of the other Verses? What is more valuable for extraction: useful items or items with a high worth (eg: does gold have more extraction value than steel?)

Well, there is no way for someone uneducated to know how much Omnillium they received from an extraction. Yes, you do just 'will' it out, as if you were summoning something in reverse (no duh! XD). You should be able to extract water, but I don't think air would be a viable source of Omnillium. No, the value of water should not differ. It's not really worth or usefulness that defines Omnillium value, more so size and complexity, so a car would be worth more than a same-sized horse-drawn cart (without the horses).

Please correct me if I'm wrong with any of this guys

Re: Quick Questions II - A.S.P.E.C.T - 02-08-2016

And if I extract Omnillium from a car and from all the base resources used in making a car? Would the amount of Omnillium for those be the same or would the working car give me more Omnillium? And if we know instinctively if we have enough Omnillium for something when trying to create it, wouldn't that give us some idea as to how much Omnillium we have, how much we still need and from that how much Omnillium is still required for the full amount?

edit: Is it possible to create a device, using Omnillium, that numerically tells you how much omnillium is in a Prime body? Like a blood pressure meter or something?
