RE: Battle of Death Mountain Discussion Thread - Demetri Malius - 04-18-2016 EVERYOOOOOONNNE alrifht ill make a mobile post and grwet the peoples ^o^ RE: Battle of Death Mountain Discussion Thread - Zack Fair - 04-18-2016 Will we be able to see a more detailed stat sheet for Volvagia, for reference while writing the fight? RE: Battle of Death Mountain Discussion Thread - Gildarts - 04-18-2016 Will the thread be broken into 3 parts for the 3 different group/teams we have involved in the story? RE: Battle of Death Mountain Discussion Thread - Red-Hood - 04-18-2016 I don't know if we are still calling but I'm about to post so call RE: Battle of Death Mountain Discussion Thread - Tearen Wover - 04-18-2016 Posting is still in calling The event will break into three threads for the groups after a short lead-in battle that will serve as the absolute cutoff for new arrivals. RE: Battle of Death Mountain Discussion Thread - Tearen Wover - 04-18-2016 Each thread will have some mechanical element as well. Alpha is pretty straightforward, Beta and Gamma will be revealed when posted. RE: Battle of Death Mountain Discussion Thread - Demetri Malius - 04-18-2016 Calling RE: Battle of Death Mountain Discussion Thread - Dave Strider - 04-18-2016 I haz done it also if i forgot anyone im sorry i had rushed to post so :frog: RE: Battle of Death Mountain Discussion Thread - Tearen Wover - 04-18-2016 In the interest of fair play, I'm going to put the thread mechanics for Beta and Gamma up so people can make suggestions. Gamma: Objective: Fend off Volvagia's horde until either it disperses or Alpha Squad completes their objective. Players can take four different actions: Attack- Focus on directly damaging the horde, dealing equal points of damage to your ATK, or 10 dmg per tier of supermove. Power Ups and Forms give the normal ATL and DEF bonuses Defend- Forgo dealing damage and avoid taking any damage, at the expense of either another Prime or the Gorons Pull- Call the attention of the horde for an extra amount of damage you decide. No Action- Deal no Damage and take full damage, with any defended damage automatically being alloted to you. (In other words, don't miss a round) The Horde deals 16 damage each round, distributed evenly among Primes unless someone defends or pulls. Damage only hurts Primes when the amount alloted to them overcomes their defense, i.e., A 5 DEF Prime who draws 5 damage is unharmed. There are 20 Gorons, which can serve two functions. Either they can each individually deal the horde 1 point of damage per round, or, you can use them as meat shields to block 2 damage per Goron used. Using them in this way obviously kills them. The Horde has 1,000 HP, each HP representing one dragon. Extra damage may be granted for outstanding writing. Word limit is 800. Beta: Demetri may recognize this to an extent. Objective: Escort the Gorons through Volvagia's caverns and plant explosives at four key locations. Volvagia's lair consists of 20 circuitous 'spaces', meaning they loop around. Explosives must be planted at spaces 5, 10, 15 and 20. All Primes and Gorons start at space 1. Packs of dragons can randomly spawn on any space at the start of each round. If a dragon spawns on your space and you are unhidden, you will fight the dragons and take 5 damage. If multiple, unhidden Primes are on the same attacked space, they can distribute the damage among themselves The Gorons always follow and take the same actions as the Prime that is 'leading' them, and they cannot be separated. They can switch leaders freely. Primes can take three actions per round. Move- Move one Space Hide- %50 chance to conceal yourself to avoid detection. Divert- Call attention to your space, immediately drawing all spawned dragons to your space. Gorons also have a special action to plant their explosives. If the Gorons are left vulnerable, or the Prime guarding them dies before all dragons on their space attack, the Gorons take 5 damage. As a group, they have 10 hp. If the Gorons all die, the squad has failed. RE: Battle of Death Mountain Discussion Thread - Jade Harley - 04-18-2016 (04-18-2016, 12:39 PM)Nealaphh Wrote: Jade: Depends what you intend on posting. Hey, this is your storyline, not mine! I'm not bringing in the dragons until you are all prepared. Direct me to wherever you need me to write when it's time, that determines what I will post. I'm guessing I need to write an introductory post in the cutoff thread right before the group splits of the dragon awakening and the horde swooping in. I'll only do that when you give me the go-ahead. RE: Battle of Death Mountain Discussion Thread - scarletFlight - 04-18-2016 Is the horde full of Draconians or normal dragons? RE: Battle of Death Mountain Discussion Thread - Tearen Wover - 04-18-2016 It's got anything you want; they're all 1 hp RE: Battle of Death Mountain Discussion Thread - Tearen Wover - 04-18-2016 Beta rules are up. RE: Battle of Death Mountain Discussion Thread - scarletFlight - 04-18-2016 So we get one action per round for Gamma? RE: Battle of Death Mountain Discussion Thread - Tearen Wover - 04-18-2016 Yup RE: Battle of Death Mountain Discussion Thread - Harry Dresden - 04-18-2016 Defensive Supers do anything special in Gamma? Harry has his Glacivallare spell, could save some people from damage and let them blast full stop for a round before throwing an Arctispinae, and shattering the remains of an ice wall into huge ice lances seems like fun. RE: Battle of Death Mountain Discussion Thread - Tearen Wover - 04-18-2016 I guess it'd be a case by case basis, because not all super defenses are area shields RE: Battle of Death Mountain Discussion Thread - Red-Hood - 04-18-2016 How much health do primes have? It based on def? RE: Battle of Death Mountain Discussion Thread - Tearen Wover - 04-18-2016 10 |
