Interest in tournament after DD - Omni - 09-27-2017
Somehow, we've never (at least not in years) had a straightforward tournament on the Omniverse. I'd love to finally do this, so that we can settle some grudges and see who's really the strongest Prime.
I was thinking Round Robin style, for fairness - this way nobody gets eliminated in round one due to getting matched up against a BAMF - we can have actual rankings based on the results! No items, of course, but SP would be fair game. All injuries and SP would be healed between each match.
For those who don't know, Round Robin means that everyone takes turns and gets a chance to fight everyone.
This would be fairly simple, but of course there'd be IC stuff so characters can banter between each match, but mainly this'd be about the fights.
Any interest?

I'd totally do this with Dane (since Eb will be off doing a VQ, unless Summer really wants to do this - but I'd assume it's one char per person so she'd probs just watch).
Any ideas for IC location and advertising?
Also, didn't Ammy propose something like this but to take place in the Dataverse, a few months back?
Edit: Found Amms thread. While it was a 1v1 elimination thing rather than this, it's fairly similar. Although I guess it being in the Dataverse would make the conditions different since the intention was to only fight with the VR versions (hence not full potential). That said, it could be changed to "really be in the Dataverse", and so could the tournament style, if you meshed the two.

Dataverse is good for this kind of thing, though I'd prefer "really in the Dataverse" to strictly VR, though a digital arena certainly makes logistics easier. Course I don't think Ammy's proposed thing was Round Robin.

Round Robin is great. If I might make a suggestion: the two characters with the highest wins will have a showdown at the end to determine the ultimate victor. Possibly a semi-finals, if there's more than 2 with close victory counts.

Colosseum was single elimination, rather than Round Robin.
I like the idea and would try and participate
BUT I will also point out that we have had a constant stream of 'site-wide' events for what seems like an entire year.

This is what I was thinking. Some might need a break. I'd personally plan for this to happen a couple months after Dark Data finishes.

yeh I know me and Celestia have been going non stop with site events for like a year. We personally have decided we need to slow things down a bit for awhile after DD.
