The Revenant is not Oscar material.
It will likely win, because any film where the lead actor had to suffer is an instant win because reasons, but it's not a great movie. It's... pretty good/okay at best.

Leo does deserve an Oscar. He deserved one for Django Unchained, he deserved one for Wolf of Wall Street, Catch Me If You Can, the list goes on...
But the fact he's gonna win for this one is still incredibly annoying.
